Beginning the story giving a genuine cliché significance of father, we see a confounded child Champak (Irrfan Khan) who grows up being a solitary parent to a young person. Tarika otherwise known as Taru (Radhika Madan) is a fair understudy attempting to wind up in top 3 just to achieve the grant for a college in London. After a 'she gets it however don't' situation, we see Champak shuffling between the choice of keeping or releasing his little girl.
